Local and Regional COVID-19 numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reported 1026 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 2 since yesterday.  Ontonagon County with 405 an increase of 1 since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 578 cases in Iron County no increase since Wednesday.  Health officials in Michigan report 2,057 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over Thursday, with 112 deaths.  According to the MDHHS, there have been a total of 7,542,065 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Michigan.  Over 44% of Michiganders have completed their vaccination series.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 485 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, with 18 new deaths.  According to WDHS, there have been a total of 4,782,698 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Wisconsin.  38.5% of Wisconsinites have completed the vaccine series.  Coronavirus vaccinations for 12- to 15-year-olds are beginning in Wisconsin after an advisory committee for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention signed off on the inoculations for younger children. The Pfizer vaccine is the first and only vaccine available for the age group.
