GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reported 787 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 14 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 291 cases this morning an increase of 3 since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 445 cases in Iron County no increase since yesterday. Health officials in Michigan report 2,843 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 over the two-day period of Sunday and Monday. The average number of new confirmed cases is about 1,421 per day over the same stretch. The total number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 across the state is 538,377. The statewide case fatality rate is 2.6%. According to the MDHHS, there have been a total of 487,959 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Michigan. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 1,083 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with 19 new deaths. DHS says 5,132 people were tested in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases across the state since the pandemic began is 522,877, with 94% of the cases now recovered. According to WDHS, there have been a total of 239,102 COVID-19 vaccinations administered in Wisconsin.
