Ironwood water supply testing underway.

IRONWOOD – City Wide Water Supply Testing is Underway. Hydrant flushing has started and will be conducted through the 21st. Hydrant flushing is an important preventive maintenance activity which helps to maintain the water system’s integrity and ensures the hydrants are in proper working order. No health hazards are associated with discolored water from hydrant flushing. If you experience discolored water, run cold water for a few minutes until it clears. If possible, run water as close to the water line coming into your home as possible. If water pressure remains low after flushing has been completed, check your faucet screens or any water filters for trapped particles.
