Ironwood vacates an alleyway for construction of a new home.

IRONWOOD – Ironwood City Commission Votes to Vacate Alleyway to Allow for the construction of a new home. A short public hearing on vacating the alley south of the 500 block of East Birch Street and Deane Street between the two blocks took place during the Ironwood City Commission’s meeting last Monday night. Michael and Greta Erm are building a home on Birch Street. Commissioner Jim Mildren said it was exciting to have a new home being built in the area. No one spoke against the request at the public hearing, so it was granted.
