IRONWOOD – If you have to pay a bill to Ironwood Township leave the cash at home. The Board of Trustees decided to restrict cash payments because handling currency and coins increases the risk of transmitting the coronavirus. Officials tell the Daily Globe that the number of cash payments had decreased at the beginning of the outbreak but increased in recent weeks. The cash payments are suspended through the end of August and bills can still be paid with check and money order via the drop box at the township hall.
