Ironwood School Band Program receives donation.

IRONWOOD – Local Charity Donates Funds to Ironwood Schools Band Program. The Buckfest Committee has donated $1,500 to the Ironwood Area Schools band program. Buckfest is a charity music festival started in 2016, held in memory of Jim “Bucket” Koski, and area resident killed in a motorcycle accident in 2005. This year’s Buckfest raised more than $5,000 and the committee was given approval by Koski’s father to donate some of the funds to a charity of their choice. Committee member Rachel Nowicki served as a substitute teacher and noticed the need at the Ironwood schools. The committee plans on donating another $1,500 to the school as well.
