Ironwood holding a Special Election on May 2nd.

IRONWOOD – A Special Election is scheduled to take place in the City of Ironwood on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, for the Ironwood Area Schools Bond Proposal. The polls will be open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Election Day. The polling location is at the Memorial Building, 213 S. Marquette Street. Precincts 1, 2, and 3 are combined for this Special Election. For those wishing to vote absentee, please contact the Clerk’s office. The Clerk’s office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. And will be open on Saturday, April 29, from 7:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. to issue Absentee Ballots and Voter Registrations. Visit www.michigan.gov/VOTE, to confirm if you are registered to vote or track your Absentee Ballot status. If passed the money will be used to expand the Ironwood School Building.  The School District recently purchased the former Josephson Nursing Home Building next door.
