In person learning continues on the Gogebic Range.

BESSEMER – Bessemer High School Will Continue In Person Learning. The superintendent of the Bessemer Area school district has said that although the Michigan Education Association has recommended that students go back to virtual learning for the next couple of weeks, Bessemer high school students as well as schools in the Gogebic Ontonagon Intermediate School District have come to the decision that they’ll continue with in person learning. He also said he believes the recommendation by the MEA applies more to districts in lower Michigan where cases are on the rise. Most high schools in Upper Michigan continue with face-to-face learning this week, after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer urged a two-week suspension of in-person classes because of a surge in coronavirus cases statewide.
