Hurley Council race set for April.

HURLEY – Field of Candidates set for the Iron County Spring election.  Hurley Mayor Jay Aijala and alderpersons Steven Lombardo and Joanne Bruneau won’t return to their seats, as they filed non-candidacy papers for the election. Bruneau however filed papers for the race for Hurley mayor.  All six seats on the council are up for election with Incumbent Robert Lanctoe, Stephanie Innes, Jamey Francis, Thomas Conhartoski running for re-election. Other candidates on the ballot include Joseph Pinardi and Rita Franzoi.  On the Iron County Board of Supervisors Ward 2 Mercer resident Hank Joustra will challenge supervisor Opal Roberts for that seat.  Many races in Iron County are for seats where the current seat holder is running unopposed.
