Houghton County house fire kills one.

LAIRD TOWNSHIP – A home fire that killed one in Houghton County is under investigation. Troopers from the Calumet Post responded to a structure fire in Laird Township in Houghton County at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The MSP says a preliminary investigation has led to the discovery of one unidentified deceased person in the structure. The on-scene investigation is ongoing at this time and further details will be released as they become available. No address has been released.
