Haze from Wildfires

UPPER MICHIGAN – Local Haze May Be Due to Fire in Northern Part of Michigan. Some haze and smoke may continue over the U.P. this morning. The 3000-acre fire located just southeast of Grayling in the northern part of the state is to blame. The source of the fire, which started Saturday, was a campfire on private property near Staley Lake. The MDNR reports that as of yesterday morning the fire was 85% contained. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality says an air quality alert continues through the morning, those with sensitive respiratory systems should exercise caution.
