Gogebic County Sees another COVID-19 Surge.

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 2063 COVID cases in Gogebic County an increase of 66 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 735 an increase of 26 since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 863 cases in Iron County no increase in cases since yesterday. Health officials in Michigan report 44,524 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Saturday to Monday, reflecting an average daily case count of 14,841 new cases per day. 64.1% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 9. Of residents 5 and older, 57.8% have completed their vaccination series. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 5,257 new cases of COVID-19 in Monday’s update, with two new deaths. 62.5% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 10. 58.5% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
