GCC e-sports team in the playoffs

IRONWOOD – Gogebic Community College’s e-sports team makes it into the next round of the national playoffs.  The Samsons defeated the Snow College of Utah Badgers in Tuesday’s “Rainbow 6 Siege” matchup and are now headed for the finals in the National Junior College Athletic Association E-sports National Championship tournament. That will be played on Monday against either Hawkeye Community College of Waterloo, IA or Hudson Valley Community College of Troy, NY The Samsons were ranked 3rd among 64 colleges in the association. Technology Instructor Jim Halverson is the coach.
