ASHLAND, WI—An Ashland manufacturing company is switching gears during the COVID-19 pandemic to help produce personal protective equipment for area medical staff. C.G. Bretting Manufacturing typically produces machines that are used to make paper products. Now, they’re using their 3D printers to make face masks for Ashland’s Memorial Medical Center. According to Paul Bretting, they’re also manufacturing plexiglass barriers used by medical staff to put their hands through and safely examine patients. Bretting said the company has been able to make 200 products for the hospital. They also plan to deliver these products to Ashland area nursing homes, and other medical facilities too.
