N. WISC / U.P. – An active weather week in store this week. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING… Today Snow and blowing snow expected to overtake the region this afternoon. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, with the greatest snow totals over the spine of the Keweenaw and the Huron and Porcupine Mountains. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Then a WINTER STORM WATCH WILL GO IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON… Total snow accumulations of 11 to 16 inches, with 15 to 20 inches for northern Bayfield County possible and Wind gusts as high as 50 mph.
