GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 2664 COVID cases in Gogebic County an increase of 4 since Friday’s update. Ontonagon County with 852 an increase of 7 since Friday. 1 death being reported Friday in Ontonagon County due to complications from COVID-19 bring the total death county to 33. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 1198 cases in Iron County no increase over the weekend. Health officials in Michigan report 5,716 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 for Thursday and Friday, reflecting an average daily case count of 2,858 new cases per day. There were 152 new reported deaths over the same period. 65.5% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of February 10. Of residents 5 and older, 59.3% have completed their vaccination series. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 2,123 new cases of COVID-19 in Friday’s update, with seven new deaths. 63.5% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of February 9. 59.7% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
