Local and Regional COVID numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 1929 COVID cases in Gogebic County no change since yesterday.  Ontonagon County with 679 also no change since yesterday.  The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 840 cases in Iron County no change since yesterday.  Health officials in Michigan report 25,858 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and Wednesday, reflecting an average daily case count of 12,929 new cases per day. There were 338 new reported deaths over the two-day period.  63.2% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of December 27. Of residents 5 and older, 57.3% have completed their vaccination series.  Michigan updates COVID data on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 8,058 new cases of COVID-19 in Tuesday’s update, with 35 new deaths.  62.1% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 4. 58.2% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
