COVID-19 claims another life in Gogebic County.

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 1598 COVID cases in Gogebic County an increase of 26 cases since yesterday. Gogebic County also reporting 1 new death from the virus yesterday bringing the Gogebic County death count to 27. This death is the 2nd reported in Gogebic County in the last week. Ontonagon County with 603 cases an increase of 1 since yesterday. The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 756 cases in Iron County an increase of 6 since yesterday. Health officials in Michigan report 17,008 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 over Saturday to Monday, with 83 new reported deaths. Over 70.8% of residents 16 and older have received at least one dose of vaccine. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 1,674 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with 2 new deaths. 55.8% of eligible residents have completed the vaccination series.
