IRONWOOD – Boutique Air Continues to Have Issues With Service. A pilot shortage will cause some scheduling changes for flights from Ironwood to Chicago, according to reports at the Gogebic-Iron County Airport Board meeting early this week. Due to the nationwide pilot shortage, Boutique Air Inc., is unable to have two sets of pilots for its daily Ironwood service to Chicago, according to Michael Harma, airport manager. The board has had conversations with three different airlines regarding taking over Boutique’s flight schedule, so there is interest. Many on the Gogebic Range have complained about flights being delayed or canceled causing missed connecting flights or some travelers being stranded in Chicago or Minneapolis.
