IRONWOOD – The Ironwood Board of Education has renewed Superintendent Travis Powell’s contract for another three years. The board’s recent evaluation found Powell to be highly effective in his position. The language of Powell’s new contract remains unchanged from his prior contract, the renewal simply extends the term for another three years. The board also authorized the district to call for bids for work on the roof of Luther L. Wright school’s roof, which needs repaired at the junction of where the building’s new addition meets the old structure. They also voted to contract with SETSEG to administer the district’s COBRA and FMLA processing services at an estimated cost of just over $5,000.
