Ironwood still looking for water line break causing dirty water.

IRONWOOD — Utilities crews continue seeking the source of a water line break that occurred Friday.  The investigation started after multiple callers reported discolored water at homes and businesses on early Friday morning. The cause of the discoloration was believed to be from a water main break and work started to search for the source, but as of yesterday the break has not yet been discovered.  The water department continues to look for the break and have contacted a leak detection contractor to help investigate.  The city is requesting that residents who see water emerging from the ground to call the city offices or call 911 after normal business hours. Residents who are experiencing discolored water should run the cold water taps until the water is clear and take a meter reading before and after for credit from the city.
