Local and Regional COVID-19 Numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 712 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County as of this morning an increase of 1 since Yesterday. Ontonagon County with 278 cases no increase from yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 423 no increase from yesterday. Coronavirus cases continue to trend lower in Upper Michigan and the average rate of new cases has been decreasing for 53 consecutive days. It stands at 182.9 cases per million people, the lowest since Sept. 13, 2020. Yesterday there were three confirmed deaths reported in Upper Michigan with one in Gogebic and Houghton counties in the Western U.P. Total confirmed deaths is at 327 in the U.P. According to information released yesterday, of the 21,125 doses distributed in the U.P., 4,853 have been administered. This means 23% of doses have been given, a 4% increase over last week.
