Local and Regional COVID-19 cases

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 711 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County as of this morning an increase of 3 since Thursday. Ontonagon County with 278 cases an increase of one since Thursday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 423 an increase of 6 since Thursday. Upper Michigan counties reported a combined total of 144 new cases between Thursday, Friday and Saturday and no deaths. Michigan averaged about 3,000 new coronavirus cases a day from Thursday through Saturday. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says hospitalizations due to complications from the coronavirus increased by 80 in the last day, although the number of daily cases continued to decline. The COVID Tracking Project ranks Wisconsin 38th in the country for new cases per capita in the last two weeks.
