Bessemer Plywood looking for a variance public hearing scheduled.

BESSEMER – The City of Bessemer is holding a public hearing on a zoning variance for a Yale St. business. Officials say Bessemer Plywood Corp. wants to build a 95-foot stack for hot air discharge but the city’s limit is 75 feet. The Board of Appeals will hold the public hearing on Nov. 16 via online videoconference beginning at 6:00 p.m. Comments can also be submitted in writing before the meeting.
