GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 298 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County that’s an increase of 8 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 96 an increase of 5 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 193 cases in Iron County an increase of 2 since yesterday. As of last night there have been a total of 5,674 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 2,779 are considered recovered and 116 have resulted in death. The seven-day average for positive tests in the U.P. sits at 6.9%. Upper Michigan added 217 coronavirus cases Thursday. Two cases were also removed in state data. The cumulative rate of positive diagnostic tests for Upper Michigan is 3.29% as yesterday.
