Wakefield Municipal Building closing due to Coronavirus concerns.

WAKEFIELD – Starting Wednesday the Wakefield Municipal Building will be closed to the public. Officials say the closure is the result of Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Executive Order and the growing number of positive coronavirus cases in Gogebic County. City Staff will continue to report to the Municipal Building and are available by phone, email, or in-person by appointment only. Appointments may be made by calling 906.229.5131. Payments of cash, check, or money order will be accepted in the dropbox, located at the Municipal Building’s entryway.
