Gogebic County Sheriff’s office issuing a scam alert

BESSEMER – The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office issues a scam alert related to the coronavirus outbreak. A City of Bessemer resident reported receiving a letter with the words “COVID-19 Financial Relief Benefits” that had Bessemer City Hall as the return address. The letter states that the recipient has loan benefits up to $17,500 from “Pinnnacle Lending” The recipient says they contacted Bessemer City Hall, who advised that the letter did not come from them. If you get one of these letters do not respond to it.
