IRONWOOD – Ironwood City Council Approves Demolition of Two Buildings…At their last meeting, the Ironwood City Commission approved Gogebic County Land Bank Access and Demolition agreements for two buildings, one at 916 E. Pine Street and 226 E. McLeod, on the condition that a grant from the state could be obtained to pay for the demolition. City Manager Paul Anderson told the commission that there is the possibility of a State Land Bank Grant to cover that expense. The commission also approved easement requests from Xcel Energy to install powerline from Lake Road to the Big Springs well fields and pump station this winter.
