LANSING - Traffic Restrictions Being Lifted For Labor Day Travel Road construction crews will soon begin moving as many orange barrels and barricades out of the way as possible to accommodate Labor Day vacationers. The Michigan Department of Transportation is removing lane restrictions on over two-thirds of its road and bridge projects starting at 3 p.m. tomorrow through 6 a.m. Tuesday. Some equipment and lane closures will remain. In all, lane restrictions will be removed from 106 of 151 projects.
