An officer-involved shooting in Ashland results in one person dead.

It happened Wednesday in the 800 block of 4th Avenue West and according to the Daily Press neighbors were told to go to their basements for safety. Ashland police didn’t provide any details on what led up to the shooting other than to say it is currently under investigation and one person is in custody. Officers were on the scene throughout the evening.
