49 year old Andrew Peterson, will serve a 12 year sentence

BAYFIELD, WI — A Bayfield man has learned his fate after he struck and killed a motorcylcist while driving drunk. 49 year old Andrew Peterson, will serve a 12 year sentence for killing a Cornucopia man in June of 2017. Court documents say he turned out in front of the motorcycle. Peterson was sentenced yesterday afternoon in Bayfield County Court to six years in state prison, and six years of extended supervision. A jury found him guilty in December on two felony counts of homicide. Peterson’s blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.
