BITTER COLD CONDITIONS THIS MORNING

IRONWOOD - BITTER COLD CONDITIONS THIS MORNING… Inland from Lake Superior where skies have cleared or where skies become clear before sunrise, temperatures  plummet to 15 below to 25 below zero. Where clouds linged, temperatures stayed in the 5 below zero to 5 above zero range. Though winds will be calm over much of the area early this morning, the winds will begin to increase after sunrise, especially over the Gogebic Range and the western Upper Michigan dress in layers and wear  hat and mittens or gloves when heading out. When temperatures are this low, frostbite can occur in less than 30 minutes on exposed skin.
