Wakefield trail segment completed

WAKEFIELD – Trail Segment In Wakefield Finished. Members of the Michigan Trails and Recreation Alliance of Land and Environment, the Gogebic Range Trail Authority, the North Country Snowmobile Club, private landowners and city officials joined the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in dedicating a three mile trail segment and 38 foot bridge in Wakefield. The State Line SL ORV Trail is the culmination of a cooperative 20 year effort. This particular trail was designed to meet standards for emergency vehicles. The Wakefield Township trail segment will add to the momentum for completing the route to Wisconsin.
