Ottawa National Forest looking for teens for this summer.

IRONWOOD – The Ottawa National Forest is looking for applicants for this summer’s Youth Conservation Corp program.  This program is designed to accomplish needed conservation work on public lands, provide gainful employment and help develop an understanding and appreciation of the nation’s natural environment and heritage.  To participate in the program the applicant must be between ages 15 and 18.  Jobs will be located at Forest Service offices across the Ottawa including the Bessemer, Ontonagon and Watersmeet Ranger District offices.  The rate of pay is $15 per hour.  The employment period is from June 19^th through August 11^th.  More information is available by contacting the Ottawa National Forest Watersmeet Office.
