Local bank warning of a Mortgage Scam

IRONWOOD – Gogebic Range Bank Warns Mortgage Consumers of Scam. If you recently closed on a mortgage and have gotten a yellow postcard in the mail stating, “Important Notice-Immediate response needed, this notice is regarding your mortgage with Gogebic Range Bank”, the Bank wants you to know the yellow postcard is part of a long running mortgage scam, aimed at acquiring your personal information. The Gogebic Range Bank said on the Ironwood Chamber of Commerce Facebook page that the bank does not sell or otherwise distribute any personal information to non-affiliate third parties. The bank advises that you dispose of it with the rest of your junk mail.
