Hurley police arrest man stuck on Range View Drive

HURLEY – At approximately 10:30 AM, Friday, Iron County Emergency Dispatch received a report of a vehicle stuck on Range View Drive in the City of Hurley near County Hwy D, with a male standing in the street, reportedly intoxicated. A Hurley police officer responded and encountered the adult male standing in the street yelling. The male immediately became combative with the police officer and backup was requested. Additional officers from the Hurley Police and the Iron County Sheriff’s Office responded and took the male into custody. The male was taken to Aspirus Hospital in Ironwood to be medically cleared and was subsequently lodged in the Iron County Jail. Charges to include disorderly conduct, resisting an officer, and threats to law enforcement. The incident remains under investigation.
