Grant assistance available for Service Employees

LANSING –  Service Employee Assistance Grants are now Available. Michigan residents who work in a variety of service industries like restaurants, motels, nightclubs, etc. and have been affected by the MDHSS order could be eligible for assistance in the form of an Employee Assistance Grant from the state. Employees will need to provide Proof of employment in November 2020, Proof of impact by the MDHHS Gathering and Face Mask Order that took effect on Nov. 18. A complete list of the industries affected, full details on the assistance program and application forms can be found at mrlaef.org/money. Application period is open from 9 a.m. on Jan. 15 until 5 p.m. on Jan. 25. Basic information can also be found on the Ironwood Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
