New police officer coming to Hurley

HURLEY – Look for a new patrol officer in Hurley next week.   Hurley Police Department Chief Chris Colassaco says the newest member of their ranks is due to graduate from the police academy at Nicolet Area Technical College in Rhinelander on Oct. 11, and has already participated in weekend ride-along shifts.  The new officer will bring the department to full strength with seven officers. He will be introduced at the next Hurley city council meeting Tuesday.
