Road work near Bluff Valley Park starts tomorrow

BESSEMER - A portion of North Moore Street near Bluff Valley Park in Bessemer will be temporarily closed tomorrow for sewer work.  The location of the work also means cars won’t be able to access Bluff Valley Park Tomorrow, according to city manager Charly Loper.  The city project is designed to repair a part of the sewer that was damaged in the June 2018 Father’s Day storms, when flooding caused damage in various parts of the county.  The project is funded through an approximately $8,000 FEMA grant, according to Loper, and the city has already received the money rather than needing to wait to be reimbursed.
