Virtual fundraising races this year on the Gogebic Range.

IRONWOOD – The organizers of the Bridges and Bluffs half marathon and Copper Peak Trails Fest will be hosting virtual races this year and are hoping the community comes out to support the virtual events this year as they are the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Friends of the Iron Belle Trail and Sisu Dirt Crew.  Rather than completing the race on a single day, the virtual event offers competitors a chance to finish the course anytime through Oct. 18.  Although the organizers have marked the traditional course that starts at Depot Park in Ironwood, competitors can complete their distances anywhere they choose.  Along with the three races, organizers have also added a new zero-k Couch Potato event for those who just want to support the trails.  For more information on the races, or to register, visit bridgesandbluffs.com or sisudirtcrew.com.  All those who enter an event will be eligible for various door prize raffles.
