BAYFIELD – A hit and run accident near Bayfield over the weekend involving a snowmobile and sled dog team leaves one of the dogs injured. Musher Ryan Redington a two-time Beargrease champion and his team of dogs were allegedly involved in the accident on Saturday where a snowmobile allegedly swerved hitting one of the dogs injuring one of its legs. No registration or description of the driver of the snowmobile was given, although Redington says the machine may have been yellow. The Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with information regarding this incident to call. a GoFundMe page has been set up for veterinarian expenses.
