New Christmas ornaments for downtown Ironwood.

IRONWOOD – It’ll soon look a lot like Christmas in downtown Ironwood. The city ordered around 30 snowflake-shaped ornaments which will be hung on alternating light poles along the U.S. 2 business route. City banners will be hung on the other poles. Officials say depending on how things go they could purchase more ornaments so one is on every light pole. The lifespan of the LED-equipped snowflakes is at least 10 years. Installation is to begin next month.
