Local and regional COVID numbers

GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY –The Michigan Department of Health reporting 2204 COVID cases in Gogebic County no increase since yesterday.  Ontonagon County with 768 no increase since yesterday.  The Wisconsin Department of Health reports 863 cases in Iron County no increase in cases since Friday.  Health officials in Michigan report 37,114 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 for Thursday and Friday, reflecting an average daily case count of 18,557 new cases per day. There were 251 new reported deaths over the two-day period.  64.3% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 13. Of residents 5 and older, 58.1% have completed their vaccination series.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 14,953 new cases of COVID-19 in Tuesday’s update, with 38 new deaths. New confirmed cases have a 7-day average of 18,218.  62.9% of the total population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine as of January 18. 58.8% of the total population has completed the vaccination series.
