GOGEBIC / IRON COUNTY – The Michigan Department of Health is reporting 169 cases of COVID19 in Gogebic County an increase of 3 since yesterday. Ontonagon County with 47 an increase of 2 since yesterday. While the Wisconsin Department of Health reports 150 cases in Iron County an increase of 1 since yesterday. As of last night, there have been a total of 3,149 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Upper Peninsula during this outbreak. Of those, at least 1,313 are considered recovered and 50 have resulted in death. Upper Michigan added 132 coronavirus cases Wednesday. COVID-19 hospitalizations, out of the 10 U.P. hospitals and health systems reporting, show 32 COVID-19 patients in Upper Michigan as of Thursday, Oct. 8. Eight of those patients are in the ICU. The cumulative rate of positive diagnostic tests for Upper Michigan is 2.30% as of yesterday.
