Local and Regional COVID case update

IRONWOOD – Health officials in Michigan report 27,705 confirmed and probable cases for the week ending Wednesday, May 11. According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, 60.0% of all Michigan residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reports 2,598 new cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s update, with two new deaths. 61.1% of the total population has completed the vaccination series. Over the last week 16 new COVID 19 cases reported in Gogebic County, 7 in Ontonagon County and 0 in Iron County.
