Gogebic County Fair Board looking for grants for repairs

IRONWOOD – Gogebic County Fair Board Discusses Grants for Repairs at Fair Grounds. Beside discussing entertainment opportunities for the upcoming fair, the Gogebic County Fair Board also discussed pending grants and grant availability for work that needs to be done at the fairgrounds. The pending Sparks grant that will be submitted to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources was discussed, the board has an additional grant application pending with the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the board has received a bid to replace perimeter fencing at the fairgrounds, that the funds from that will cover. The board was also made aware of a third grant opportunity from the U.S. Department of Community Facilities Direct Loan and Grant Program.
