Gas prices down for Thanksgiving travel

IRONWOOD – Gas prices in Michigan are down 7 cents compared to last week, dropping the state average to $2 a gallon as many prepare for Thanksgiving holiday travel while local prices remain steady at $2.17 and the highest in the state. Statewide gas prices are 6 cents less than this time last month and 54 cents a gallon less than this time last year. The highest price in the state in Ironwood at $2.17 a gallon followed by Marquette at $2.14 and Metro Detroit at $2.01 as of this morning. Lowest prices in Flint at $1.91 a gallon.
