COVID-19 cases in Iron County jumps to 41.

HURLEY – As of last night the Iron County Health Department in Hurley is reporting 4 new positive COVID-19 cases and 3 more recovered cases.  That brings Iron Counties case count to 41 with nearly half 21 being reported as recovered in Iron County.  1 death as a result of COVID-19 in Iron County since the pandemic was first discovered in Iron County in late March.  Testing from 10am-7pm today at the Hurley K-12 School in HURLEY.  Tomorrow in Mercer from 10am-7pm at the WI Dept. of Natural Resources building.  Michigan Department of Health and the Western U.P. Health Department reporting no change in the COVID-19 case county in Gogebic County.  Gogebic County currently has 41 cases, Ontonagon County with one.  Upper Michigan added eight new cases on Wednesday.  The U.P. now has a total of 374 confirmed cases during this outbreak. Of those cases, 18 have died and at least 128 cases are considered recovered.  Out of the 28,531 diagnostic tests reported to MDHHS from Upper Michigan, 1.2 percent have come back positive for COVID-19.
