COVID-19 Cases in Iron County breakdown by age.

HURLEY – The Iron County Health Department reporting 67 positive COVID-19 cases in Iron County however not all test results from last week’s testing in Hurley and Mercer have been reported yet. The Health Department says results may take anywhere from 3-7 days. If your test result was negative, you will receive a call from the National Guard. It may be a 608 area code number so please answer your phone. They will attempt to call you 2 or 3 times but will not leave a message. If your test is positive, then you will receive a call from the Iron County Health Department staff from a local number. The Iron County Health Department giving us a break down of all those testing positive. The numbers show the largest age group testing positive for COVID-19 are in the 20 to 39 years old age group at 28.4%, followed by those aged 60 to 79 at 26.9%. Those aged 40 to 59 account for 20.9% of off positive cases in Iron County. Kids and Teens up to age 19 account for 19.4% while the elderly aged 80 to 99 years of age account for 4.5%. In Gogebic County 58 positive cases, Ontonagon County has 2.
