WAKEFIELD – Frigid Temps Don’t Deter Mid Amateur Ski Event This Past Weekend. Big Snow Resort was the site of the International Ski Federation’s Mid Amateur event this past weekend giving skiers a chance to improve their ranking. The weather was frigid as 110 amateur skiers from the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s Central Division gathered for the first race of 2022. Skiers were determined to drop their USSA and FIS points by clocking the fastest runs possible. Next up for Big Snow Resort is the USSA U14 Shelly Glover Memorial Race this weekend.
